Visual Test

8- 2 class will have their test on visuals on Thursday afternoon May 11 AND  8-1 class will have their test on Friday, May 12. This week each class are working on visuals and they need to finish any work they do not finish in class.

Behind The Hype

Students are working on a chart for the above article. They must have their ideas 95 questions) finished tonight, so they can transfer their material tomorrow.

Secrets Unit

Today is the submission day for the unit work on Secrets. You are responsible for submitting all three assignments. CHOOSE ONE OF THESE THREE AND DO A FINAL COPY TO BE GRADED.

The Outsiders Assignment

You have 5 classes to do the assignment I have provided. At home you may do some preliminary planning for these topics, BUT you cannot do the work at home. THIS WORK MUST BE DONE IN THE CLASS. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR CLASS TIME BY BEING PREPARED TO WORK.

The Outsiders

Today students were given their major project for the novel. Beginning on Wednesday, they will get class time (1 week) to complete their work in class. They are not permitted to do this work at home, HOWEVER, they are expected to do their PLANNING at home. For example, one of the selections of choice is the creation of a "graffiti" collage. They can select the 20 words at home and they can plan how they will display these on the bristol board. Therefore when they come to class, they know EXACTLY what they are going to put on their sheet.

They are encouraged to bring in their own supplies for coloring and stencilling. I have some materials, but I cannot supply 10 students with a particular color (at the same moment). It might mean they have to wait for one to become available. Sometimes that results in a lose of time.

Encourage your child to be ready for class, and be prepared to work during class time. I cannot allow them to produce this work at home.

8-2 must have questions from chs. 5-9 passed in tomorrow, Day 13 Jan. 31.
